Thinking about adopting a companion? Responsible pet guardianship is a privilege and not an undertaking that should be taken lightly. This responsibility entails acknowledging that the pet will be with you for ten to twenty years -- that's a lengthy commitment. It is also accepting financial responsibility for the animal and his/her health care throughout the life of your new companion. It is knowing that there will be times when keeping a pet is not convenient, but pledging to stick with them and struggle through the rough times---together. It is recognizing that the animal you choose to share your life with will love you and look to you for care and companionship and you will be bound to give it -- not until it becomes tiresome, not until it's convenient, but for his/her lifetime. Homeward Bound Pets always reserves the right to approve all adoptions as well as to refuse any adoptions.

Thank you for thinking about the homeless animals at our shelter as you consider adding a new member to your family. A humane community truly begins with you.

Adoption Fees

Cats and Dogs - $65.00

Kittens - $75.00

Puppies - $85.00

Senior Cats and Dogs 7 years old and up - $48.75

Senior Citizens 65 years and up who adopt a Senior cat or dog - $32.50

All animals (4 - 6 months old) are spayed/neutered before going to their new home. Puppies and kittens participate in our Spay/Neuter Certificate Program (included in adoption fee), adult animals are current on their annual inoculations and dewormings, youngsters are started on their series of shots, which may or may not be completed depending on what age they are adopted. All cats and kittens have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. A free medical check-up is also provided with each adoption.

Wednesday - Saturday 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
