I am interested in descendants of Harvey WALKER(1826-1913) and his wife Hannah Jane (DAVIS) WALKER (1834-1912) who lived in Yamhill County from 1882 until their deaths. Harvey and Hannah were my great great grandparents. They had one daughter, Hettie WALKER, who married George Albert SHIELDS and who also lived in Yamhill County. Thank you for your assistance.

I am interested in the decendents of Thomas Crawford MCBRIDE. He came to Yamhill Co. about 1850 with several of his children. One son, James was a doctor, minister, and a farmer. Several of James children became lawyers, doctors, and politicians. James, himself was instrumental in starting the Camelite (sp) Church & helped start the Republican party in Oregon. One of his sons was a Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court. Any help with this family will be greatly appreciated.

Searching for WADEs and LAUGHLINs in Yamhill County. Benjamin F. WADE, b.?Seneca Co., OH, 1842, came to the Yamhill Co. area by 1867, when he married Iola Grazer. Iola and their infant daughter died prior to the 1870 census, when Benj. F. is found living next to a LAUGHLIN family. In 1871, Benj. F. married the widow Mrs. Rebecca (LAUGHLIN) Perry. Rebecca LAUGHLIN was the daughter of James Morrow LAUGHLIN and Nancy C. McCOY. James Morrow was the son of Samuel LAUGHLIN and his first wife Naomi MORROW. I can take this family (male side only, unfortunately) back to SC with the DALRYMPLE and John LAUGHLIN families of the 96 Dist. Samuel LAUGHLIN & family arrived in 1847; his son James Morrow LAUGHLIN & family arrived in 1850. They came to Oregon from the Gasconade/Osage County areas of Missouri. Would like to make contact with other LAUGHLIN & WADE cousins and learn anything possible about the Ohio WADEs, the MORROWs and the McCOYs. Will gladly share information.
