Mary Alice DAVES (b. July 10, 1852 in Colorado Terr) who married George W. SLEEPER in Coos Co, OR 2. Frances E "Fanny" DAVIS (B. 1855 in Coos Co, OR) She married Hougard Reichart 3. John Albert (or Albert J) DAVIS (B. 11/20/1857 in Yamhill Co, OR). He married Margaret J WIER of Canada 4. William R. DAVIS (b. 1859) The family moved from IN to Coos Co, OR to Yamhill Co where one or more of their children were born and finally back to Coos Co where the parents are buried.

BROCK, FLANARY TAYLOR died in Willamina, Yamhill Co 10 May 1896. I would like to know if there is a newspaper for that date, looking for her obituary. Some of her children and grandchildren remained in Yamhill Co after her death. Also several of this family are buried in a cemetery near Amity, OR, are there any printed cemetery records for that area?

Bowdedge "Boyd" Hill b. 5/4/1838 d. 12/4/1908 was living in Yamhill County in the 1870 census. He married his first wife, Elizabeth Ann Galloway b. abt. 1847 d. 1/14/1874, on 9/16/1859. They had the following children: Daniel W. b. 9/20/1862, Matheny b. 5/7/1865, Rebecca Jane b. 2/22/1867 and married a Kettering, Grant William b. 5/22/1869, John T. b. 5/22/1871 and Mary Alice b. 5/10/1873 d. 5/6/1874. Elizabeth and her daughter, Mary Alice are buried in Brookside Cemetery near Dayton. Bowdedge married his second wife, Cordelia A. Ramsdell b. 1857, on 5/12/1874. The following children were born to this marriage: Manley B. b. 9/20/1875, Margaret "Maggie" b. 11/20/1877, Maude A. b. 8/14/1879 and Lee Collins b. 1882. Bowdedge was a successful farmer in Yamhill Co. and had one of the largest farms in that area during the years 1870-1880. He raised fine horses, cattle and goats and always took prizes at the state fair in Salem. He also ran a grist mill and general store in Dayton. Any information on these individuals would be appreciated. I have lots of information I am willing to share.

Died May 2, 1915, buried May 4, 1915.Death Certificate indicated McMinnville and Place of burial or removal as Amity, Oregon. I understand there is a "Hopewell Cemetery" in the area. Would appreciate a phone number or contact for someone in the area to inquire about cemetery lists of those buried.

I am researching the MCKERN family name. The Yamhill Co. surname list includes information on ASA E MCKERN(d-8/12/192) and MARY ANN MCKERN(d-3/08/1927). I also have some sketchy information about ISAAC MCKERN and LUKE MCKERN who I believe are somehow related to my g, grandfather ABRAM MCKERN or my g,g,grandfather PATRICK MCKERN from Iowa. There is also a LUKE MCKERN listed in the list of pioneers on the 1850 wagon train heading West on the Oregon Trail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My ggrandfather and ggrandmother show up in the Yamhill 1880 census. Alfred Smith and Sarah Denton (Miller) Smith with 9 children and Sarah's mother Roxana Miller. The nine kids and birthyears and birthplaces are, Mary Elizabeth (1864, WI), Charles L (1866, ID), Rosa (1869, OR), Albert (1869, OR), Emma (1871, OR), William (1873, OR), Samuel (1875, OR), Herbert (1877, OR), Arthur (1878, OR). Arthur is my grandfather. Rosa married Fred Little and lived in Modesto, CA. Alfred is buried in Carlton Cem in McMinnville. Family lived at 733 North C Street in McMinnville. If anybody is a descendant of this family or has further info to help, please let me know.

I have reason to believe they settled in Yamhill County in 1888, then resided in Washington County about a year later. May died July 1, 1950 and Thomas died October 26, 1945 (both died in Oregon). Seeking a descendent of Sarah Ann McKinney Caldwell b. 1827, Boone Co. Mo. d. at Yoncalla Or abt 1920 and buried there. Married Alexander Patterson Caldwell 2/14/1850 in Washington County, OR, He was born 10/1/1825 and died at Amity 3/15/1876, buried at Bethel Cemetery. Need information on death and burial location of her parents and possible pictures or family bible information. Stephen McKinney was born April 24, 1796, in Kentucky and died April 25, 1882. Her Mother Louisa Anderson McKinney was born April 24, 1805, in Virginia and died March 30, 1884. Stephen and Louisa were married Nov 23, 1826, in Booneville Boone Co, MO. then moved to Morgan Co, Illinois Then back to Memphis, Scotland Co, Mo. The family came to Oregon in 1848. Settled on Land Claim Just south of Amity, OR. They were early members and Charter signers of the Amity Christian Church. In 1879 they had papers for transfer of membership to Goldendale, Klickitat Co., WA. and Stephen & Louisa McKinney and daughter Sarah Caldwell and her children were on 1880 census of Goldendale. There is no mention of what happened to Stephen or Louisa. Sarah and children were later at Condon, Wheeler Co, OR. Seeking death and burial location of Stephen and Louisa and a possible descendent that might have bible or pictures.

I am looking for any descendants of Andrew Johnson Park who lived with his family around Sheridan from 1886 until 1921. He was from Tennessee and married Laura Green and they had 7 children, four of whom died in infancy. His 3 sons were Charley, Robert and Horace. He died on August 13, 1921 when lightning struck his house. He lived in the Mill Creek area and was buried in the Harmony Cemetery.

The 1850 census shows them with four children: James C, Benjamin S, John W, and Richard C, Jr. What children were shown in the 1860 census for this couple?
