1952 The family moved from Davis, California where David's father had just graduated from the new School of Veterinary Medicine to St. Croix in the Virgin Islands.

1953 The family moved to Los Altos, California, USA where David attended Covington Jr. High

1957 The family moved to Arecibo, Puerto Rico

1958 The family moved to Santa Maria, California and later to Solvang, California

1961 The family moved to Humacao, Puerto Rico where David graduated from high school and left home to attend the University of California at Davis.

1965 David graduated from UCD and stayed to pursue his MFA (Master of Fine Arts)

1967 David received his MFA
