Born: Yes (April 15, 1943 in Auburn, CA-oddly enough, Leonardo Da Vinci was also born on April 15.)
Parents: Two (David James Gilhooly Jr. and Gladys Catherine Schulte)
Siblings: Two younger brothers (Patrick and Joseph) and a younger sister (Anne)

1952 The Gilhooly family moved from Davis, California where David's father had just graduated from the new School of Veterinary Medicine to St. Croix in the Virgin Islands.

1953 The Gilhooly family moved to Los Altos, California, USA where David attended Covington Jr. High

1957 The Gilhooly family moved to Arecibo, Puerto Rico

1958 The Gilhooly family moved to Santa Maria, California and later to Solvang, California

1961 The Gilhooly family moved to Humacao, Puerto Rico where David graduated from high school and left home to attend the University of California at Davis.

1965 David graduated from UCD and stayed to pursue his MFA (Master of Fine Arts)

1967 David received his MA
